Adrians workshop is the epitomy of “garage built”.

From shaping, sanding, painting to epoxy coating everything is done by hand by Adrian out the back and in his garage.

How Sticks & Wood began.

I grew up in South East Queensland fishing for impoundment bass, yellowbelly and cod from an early age. Family holidays were always to some coastal location or to a western river bank fishing and camping. As a kid I would make small poppers for bass. Over 10 years ago I started making deep diving lures specifically for bass and yellowbelly.

A few years ago an opportunity arose to fish Cape York. At this stage I had no idea of what a stickbait was, or the tackle required to succesfully land monster fish, I left Cape York with ideas to build one and hopefully improve my success rate for the next trip. 10 months later I was back with my first sinking stickbaits. Those first batch of wildly built stickbaits accounted for triple figure tallys daily. On the return trip home the idea of sharing their success was discussed and Sticks & Wood was born.

An opportunity to relocate to north Qld during the covid pandemic, saw us settle in the Townsville region. This has given me the opportunity to further develop and improve the Sticks & Wood stickbaits and add some new models and styles of lures. This has given me the perfect location to put the Sticks & Wood range of lures to the test.
